even when stereo music listening is what their primary purpose will be.
I've been wanting to pull the trigger on a pair of PSB Image T6s, but doing so means I make other huge sacrifices in regards to the size TV I can get and type/size of TV stand I can have (my living room walls and current furniture set-up is very unique and particular, i.e. unforgiving and not at all a "blank canvas").
So I've been considering other options, mainly a Def Tech Cinema1000 package. My parents actually owned this set-up from about 10 years ago (when I think they were still called the Cinema 100s and not the Cinema1ks, and definitely before they had the passive radiators) and they sounded great. The thing is, though, is that in that set-up they were used almost exclusively for movie watching. When I did listen to music on them, I found them to be sub-par, though I always thought that part of that problem was that they were ceiling mounted fifteen feet above ear-level. I definitely wouldn't do that: just have them on the tv stand at ear level.
So has this line made any improvements? Had any setbacks? Will the subwoofer take care of all my worries and it'll sound LIKE I have tower hi-fi speakers, or something close? Should I consider another option? Thanks in advance.
