I swear, I am not trolling

I ended up with four, because I needed stands and a pair with stands was about what stands were going for.

I have a decent 7.1 HT system. SVS, Kef Iq90, Iq60c, Iq7, Iq5

A 18 x 12 room only, no weird openings. 7'8" ceiling. Bare walls, wood floor.

Originally I was going to do a 'vintage' quadraphonic audio setup BUT read that it was a bad idea. I did read of some good 4 speaker 901 setups, but forgot where. I was thinking either:

- four across the front or
- 2 high (off ceiling) 2 low

flame suit on

PS Series 1 with 2 Eqs AND 2 Kenwood Basic M1s

Sell them on Ebay - then start over.

They aren't really worth much. Just have fun with them. Stack them 4 high in the corner of your theater and hook them to the LFE output. That's 36 4.5" drivers! Your house will probably fall down with all that displacement.

ps- If I had them I would actually do this just to say that I did. Then I'd brag about it here and everyone would be jealous! Dont' deny it! You would all be sooo jealous!

I assume you also have the equalizer boxes and enough power to drive them. They're cool for parties, throw a barbeque!

Actually I have heard two pairs stacked on top of one another(18 drivers per side) run in a simple 2-channel mode and it wasn't bad at all. Let everyone flame the Bose, who cares, if you enjoy them that is all that matters! Tim

hmmm - that would save tapping into ceiling (in my rented place)

PLUS, adds a certain "je ne c'est quois" factor

DID HE:
- USE REGULAR BOSE STANDS and
- JUST PLACE SECOND SPEAKER FLUSH ON TOP?
- SEPARATOR?
- TILT? (I have read the up down angels can add to the effects)
- PADDING/INSULATION/SPIKES

(don't worry people, I have my KEF, SVS 7.1 system for when I wanted to be normal). I am just trying to create a wall of sound for some bombastic listening sessions.

I'LL SEND PICTURES, I PROMISE!

ah - hah, found the link - from the boys over at AudioKarma.

Click for more on the setup, they goof on him some, but he is apparently serious. Insists that TWO eqs is critical. http://ak2-cm.nexcess.net/forums/sho...=422173&page=3
