Gotcha.
The pictured speaker was their center version of the edc12.

I know the dispersion of the horn would be wrong, maybe if I center it upside down so horn is the proper way and not firing to back of screen? This is only temp till I sell my house. New theater will be AT screen so won't matter.

Sharing some info:

I recently sold my eD Cinema 12 speakers and the buyer was curious what the standard 12" driver was, and I couldn't find it anywhere on the internet so I popped one open and found out it's an Eminence Kappa Pro-12a. So if you ever need a replacement driver this is the one you need:

Hi everyone,

I am planning on picking up a pair of these cinema 12 speakers with a matching center for very cheap locally via craigslist. Good idea? Anyone have advise supporting or against picking them up? Seem like very high quality speakers and parts for the $. I understand eD shut down so there isn't any support or warranty but that goes for pretty much all used speakers anyway.

How would these compare to Klipsch SB3 or Paradigm studio 40, 2 other speakers on criagslist I was considering. I assume these would be much better but I do love the look of the paradigms and the affordability of the klipschs.

Eventually I'd love to add 2 SI 18" subs to have a 3.2 system and then consider surrounds later when i have the space.
Let me know!

I've heard nothing but good about them. I think there was an upgrade for the CD. MK Theater had used them, so that's a positive endorsement.

Whats the deal with these speakers, not a lot of info. Are they DIY or premade. ON the website you choose a finish?

Found some on Ebay for pretty cheap $600 for three plus $150 shipping. Good idea or just make a fusion 12?

It depends on the eD configuration or drivers used. When I bought my 3 eD cinema 12's I had the upgraded DE-250 CD and the woofer was the Eminence 3012HO which is very nice and that speaker had a sensitivity of 100 dB. That woofer was awesome for a 12! I like the SEOS horn and CD better though.

Yamaha RX-A2030 and 4 Yamaha P2500s amps.
speakers- 9 Behringer B215XL's
subs- SI 18ht x12 IB powered by Sanway FP14K.
