Klipsch RB-61 II (Fronts), Klipsch RC-52 II (Center)
Deftech StudioMonitor 350 (surrounds)
Klipsch SW-115 (sub)
I recently added a pair of Pro Monitor 1000's as the Wide speakers in my 9.1 setup. My original 7.1 speakers are Def Tech towers (BP7002, CLR 3000, BPVX and SVS Sub). Needing a pair of direct radiators now, the Pro Monitor 1000 seemed to be the best bet to blend in with the others. So far, initial testing is very positive. I notice no timbre matching issues and the wide soundfield is incredible. If I ever add the last 2 Height channels, I will likely stick with these.

Who AM I
Speakers > MB Quart VS05, Boston VS260, Snell K7, EOS 150SP
Subwoofer > Mordaunt Short Aviano 7
Receiver > Tascam PAR-200, Pioneer VSX-30
I am considering either Four x promonitor 1000's.
Also considering SM55 for the front speakers, and two 1000's as the surrounds.
Would I be better off with SM55 up front rather than 1000's? Doing a lot of research and having a tough time deciding which the fronts should be.
my budget is pretty blown at this point haha - promonitor or studio monitor price range...
Pioneer vsx-42 is my amp, and small room by the way.
thanks for your help!
