I have a Klipsch reference system but picked up the Klipsch Icon KB-15 bookshelves from Best Buy to use for width and rear "presence" speakers (http://www.bestbuy.com/site/Klipsch+-+Icon+5-1/4%22+2-Way+Bookshelf+Speakers+(Pair)/2138167.p;jsessionid=4B4FB366E7FA5F8ABF69D89E97BBFF01.bbolsp-app04-50?id=1218310759891&skuId=2138167&st=Klipsch%20Icon%20KB-15%20bookshelves&cp=1&lp=1). The KB-15's compare very favorably to my reference bookshelves (RB-61IIs), with just a little smaller soundstage and just slightly more "veiled". Given their low price point ($200/pair on sale), I would argue the KB-15's may be the best price/performance ratio speaker available and 3 pair with a good subwoofer would make a fantastic home theater system. Plus, if you don't like them, you can take them back which can't be said for many speakers these days.

I would welcome anyone else's thoughts on the best price/performance bookshelves.
