Makes sense. No offense, but those
headphones are garbage to begin
with. Might as well make them from
recycled garbage. I hope Bose and
Monster followes suit and stops
wasting valuable resources in
making their products.

Beats suck. No question. I hate seeing all the people spending $200+ on these type of products. Buy some Sennheiser, AT, AKG, or GRADO!!!

I don't understand how these brands sell. Is it just because the big box stores carry them and nothing else? I have literally never heard good things about any of them so I don't understand why people buy them lol.

It's a really simple question. It's the "in" thing. It's about style and advertising. I work at a Magnolia (going through school, gotta pay the bills) and I always have teenagers come in and want those. I had a guy come in with his son last night needing to replace his Beats because the drivers were blown. I explained how I see these come back all the time for this and similar reasons and showed him the B&W P5 which are the same price, and a some Sennheisers and AKGs but he just had to have the Beats.

Ignorance is a choice

.

I love my Grados. I have a pair of RS1s paired with a little dot hybrid tube amp. Sounds wonderful!

I try not to pile on but their headphones are such a rip off. I went through about three models before I tried Sennheiser and realized that it wasn't my ears but the awful design and quality of those expensive headphones. All that glitters, isn't gold...

I have a pair of Sennheiser headphones myself. They retailed for $299 back in the day, you can get them for like, $170 on amazon.com, best headphone I've heard. Granted there's way more expensive models and other brands as well that are just as good or better. But, man, at $170 they're PHENOMENAL! There would be nothing wrong with Beats if they sold them for $50 bucks. But, at $300+ dollars for some of their "top end" models, it's just ridiculous. All because they're the in thing. You can get shoes that are ten times better than Nike. But, kids want to have that Nike logo on their shoe. rolleyes.gif But, hey, Kudos to Beats and Bose for making a buck! That's what the world is all about.

Of course, I got it modified with the TK-427, which cheeks it up another, maybe, 3 or 4 quads per channel.
