Hi all,

How are the Swan Diva speakers? While researching over the net, till couple of years back I could see lots of traction for these speakers. People had rated them much better than the speakers in the same price point - even compared to much high-end and expensive speakers.

I am not saying that these speakers should produce a full Nautilus or Focal type of sound, but in general are these speakers really that good?

Swan Diva 4.2 F: $800/pair
Swan Diva 4.2 C: $300
Swan Diva 4.2 R: $400/pair

--- overall it comes up to $1500.

Gurus, can you please help? [alternate system that I was thinking was KEF iQ90 ($800/pair) or iQ70 ($400/pair) + KEF iQ60C ($400) + Mirage OMD5]. Is the Swan better or the KEF?

p.s. planning to put them along with the HSU VTF-2 MK4 sub

Back when Mark Schifty was pushing the Swans, they were the greatest deal in all of audio rolleyes.gif They're still solid designs of course, just without the internet hype train. Competition has greatly increased as well, subjective claims about performance that used to be accepted aren't the standard anymore, people expect measured truth now a days... Basically, you're going to have to audition them and find out for yourself.

I would look toward NHT Classic 3's in this price range if your room isnt huge.

My only experience with Swan is the 2.1 system I have. For what I paid the clarity and detail is first rate. I've never heard the Diva's, but if the system I have is any indication they're probably quite good.

If you take yourself too seriously expect me to do the exact opposite
