I am not familiar with the Episode, so I cannot do a comparison. I can say that the Adam Audio GTC77 is the best LCR speaker I have ever owned. I am using it as a center channel. In that application it definitely surpasses the performance of the Aperion Versus Grand, which is actually quite nice in its own right, but the Adam is better: more dynamic, more transparent, and better extension (male voices have more heft).

The aspect of these speakers, other than their sound, that I really like is that they contain 3 removable modules, 2 containing a single 7" woofer each, and and one containing a tweeter and 4" midrange. You can thus rotate the tweeter/mid module in a vertical or horizontal orientation depending on whether you want to use it as a center channel or L/R speaker. It is a large speaker and the finish is nothing to brag about (not as good as the Aperion). Interestingly, if you want even more heft and better dynamics, you can get the GTC88, which is same design only a larger box with 5" midrange and 8.5" woofers.

These are seriously good speakers for home theater.
