I need to be careful with bass not to annoy neighbors. First step before other options is I want to find a balance that appeals to my ear and mitigates sound leaving my residence.

I have two rooms in a condo with Miller and Kreisel k9 and k10.
They each have bass level control -6db, -3db,0, +3db, +6db, +9db

I can further attenuate with a line level attenuator 10db halves the volume.

I have not used an equalizer, but I guess that may be an option. I like the idea of a continuously variable control to use for a few weeks after which perhaps I can put in a good choice of line level attenuator.

Has anyone gone through this process before and any suggestions. By the way if we could keep the thread focused on the components please. I have somewhat knowledgeable on soundproofing just don't want to co-mingle that topic here.

Another aspect to managing subwoofer. Still seems directional to me so thinking of having a pair of Miller Kreisel k9/k10 with Paradigm 5se Mk3. I don't really want to buy new gear until I find out how this sounds appropriate matched with the right level of attenuation. what do you do?

think the idea of keeping the subwoofer subdued with attenuation and providing another subwoofer will enhance low volume listening
