So I drove to Chicago from NY to pick this whole setup up. (Just the speakers). I moved everything into my apartment with perfection and precision. I unbox the speakers to find A CRACKED/SHATTERED TWEETER on one of the 800s. I am so upset at this point - good thing B & W is overnighting me one tomorrow so I can use this system.
I had a previous B & W setup placed in here and I can't stretch the importance of acoustic paneling. After spending hours fiddling with the sound and listening for reflections, I was able to apply the panels and it made such a difference. No "echo" or reverb, just straight music.
Unfortunately though, can't use these ATM until the new tweeter assembly comes in.
Will give my thorough review/thoughts later this week after I get some good listening time in. Stay tuned for then!!!
