background:

so i just got the pioneer package (fs51, c21, bs21) a while back. i plan to use the 51s and the c21 as the front stage but due to space, i got 4 mirage nano sats and mounted them from the ceiling to complete the 7.1 with a klipsch rw12d sub. the denon 2112 does not allow for front heights or front wides, but maybe someday i will have a receiver that allows for that.

so basically i have 2 pair of bookshelf speakers that will not be in use, which pair would be better to keep for potential front wides? they are:

pioneer bs-21 series
infinity reference 2000.2 series

the bs-21s have smaller drivers but are newer and are timbre matched to the front stage, but not timbre matched to the surrounds. the infinitys have 6.5" drivers but are older and are not timbre matched. thanks

I would sell the Infinity speakers, and keep the Pioneer speakers. I prefer that
the front wides, blend with the front stage.

The Infinity will sound bigger and have more bass than the BS21 - however, I do not
like the Infinity cheap poly-carbonate tweeter.
