Has anybody compared these? I can hear the B&W at local showrooms and wow I'm impressed. They look and sound beautiful (C9).

I cannot audition the higher end PSB, but I sure do like the looks. In fact the T2 tower comes in Walnut which I think looks beautiful - great WAF.

I'm doing some internet shopping and I think at the end of the day these are in the same ballpark cost wise (psb easy to find discounted, B&W not so much).

Anybody ever had the chance to put these lines head-to-head?

This is for 90% two channel, 10% theater (of course, TV all the time but I don't count that).

I really want great two channel and I'm close to going for the T2 towers (I already have a Syncrony center two on the way). But before I commit all the way, I wonder if anyone would advise to go B&W - the lovely known quantity - even though I can't 'get a deal' on them and I hear their centers are poorly regarded (they don't look as well designed as the synchrony two center).

Can't comment on the PSB speakers but the CMC2 is highly regarded, it is the CMC and 600 series centers that are a bit less regarded.

What was used for amplification when you listened to the B&Ws in the showroom? Did they use graphic equalizers, tone controls or calibration? You may end up with a completely different sound with your gear at home.

Sony DA5700ES

in the showroom the CM9s were just playing with a Pioneer AV receiver on pure direct. But in the interim (since I wrote the post above) I bought a pair of Synchrony 2. I figure I can always return them if they don't please me... only one way to try them is to buy them. I guess I'll have them in about a week.
