Good afternoon,

I'm hoping to get an opinion on which of the two models would fit better in my setup.

I was planning on doing this for a budget build:

Receiver: Onkyo HT-RC160

Front: Monitor60
Center: CS1
Surround: Monitor50
Rear: SP-BS21-LR
Sub: Philips SW-090(replacing asap)

I bought everything except the fronts on sale for $290.00

So now I'm wondering if I should wait for the M60's to drop to around $120 or purchase the RTI-A5's for $200 each. I've read that the latter is better for home theater use, but I'm just worried that they would overpower everything that I've bought.

Thanks!

They RTiA5 wont over power your other speakers if you setup and calibrate them correctly. However you should probably get the matching CSi14 or A6 center if you're going to go with RTiA series speakers.

I ended up ordering the RTiA5's; now to find a good deal on a CSiA6 and sub!

Any ideas on where to look for a sub? I've seen the Klipsch RW-12d on newegg for $300. I've read some good reviews on this forum for it.. Would it fill up a 400 sq ft room well? The ceiling is around 10 feet up. Any other recommendations in that price range?

Thanks!

You need to provide a budget before getting recommendations. How much are you willing to spend on a sub?

I have a CsI A6 center in black I'd sell you. I bought it first then ended up going with a Cherry CSI a6 and RTI A5. If your interested in a black one make me an offer. smile.gif. its about 8 months old and used lightly in a HT set up. I have the m60's also and I like them both.

I'd like to stay around $300 but I want something that will last me a few years so I'm willing to go higher. I appreciate any recommendations that you can give me.
