Hey guys and gals I am new to this site and I am seeking major help.

A friend of mine is down on his luck and he want to sell me some of his equipment. I am just getting in to A/V so I am severely inexperienced in this field. Can anyone advise if the below items are any good.

(3) Floor standing Platinum studio 3 speakers-300 dollars mint condition

(4) Floor Standing Energy e: XL-28-PBR-1- 600 dollars mint condition

(1) Stewarts custom screen L 68 1/2" W 123" 7 years old- 1000 dollars.

(2) kenerginics subwoofers 3 10' round speakers- 400 dollars mint condition

(1) Lexicon LX5 power amplifier- 650 dollars mint condition

It's that there is no end... http://www.klipsch.com/thx-ultra2-home-theater-system (in a true spectrum that probably is at the lower side of middle in terms of cost)

If you train your ears to hear the flaws you will always be searching for something better...
