I plan to replace my ancient Kenwood center and front speakers and was set on the BIC 52CLRB center and Dv64 fronts until Newegg had the latest promo on the Polks. Info on setup:
Living Room 16x15
Viewing distance from TV 13’
Receiver Onkyo TX-SR604
Speaker setup 5.1
Keeping current sub and surrounds for now
Used for movies/TV 90% (XBMC and DirecTV)
Music only 10% use

Does anyone have recommendations on the BIC versus Polk or other center/front recommendations for the same price range?

If you're gonna get the DV64 towers, you need to get the DV62CLRS center which has the same size woofers as the towers. The DV52 center would be too small. Center channel is very important part of your HT system as it handles almost all of the dialog.

If you prefer a horn tweeter then look at the FH6 towers and center.

Thanks Afro GT.

I saw the DV62CLRS, but was hoping the DV52 would work since I am mounting on top of a DLP and the DV62CLRS is heavy. I am using an Omnimount CCH1P for the center channel and the DV62 may be to wide and heavy. Will see if there is any way I can add a support bracket between the wall and the Omnimount to support the additional size of the DV62.

I've used that bracket with a Sony SXRD TV. The 62CLRS is only around 18lbs, That bracket holds speakers up to 30lbs, anything under $20 is a piece of cake. You'll be fine with the DV62CLRS.

the dimension of that center are Dimensions: 7-11/16" H x 20" W x 10" D. My Athena AS-C1 was about the same size. No problems at all using that stand.

I think I still have pics on my home computer. I'll post if I can find them.

What type of TV do you have?

yeah, I dont see that being a problem with a 82" DLP. The Omnimount stand should work very well there.
