Hi everyone! I have a great sounding pair of older Bose 601 series III speakers. I am needing a few items for the speakers. This is the email I sent to Bose but thought I'd run it by you guys and see if you know another place to get the parts.

"Hi I have an older pair of Bose 601 series III speakers. They have always sounded fantastic but over the years a couple of the speakers have seen better days. I am looking for one of the 8" front drivers for the speakers and one of the small 3" tweeters that is on top of the speaker placed at various angles. I am also looking for the front grill cover and the top grill cover for the speakers. If you still have these replacement items in stock please let me know what they cost for each item and what the shipping would approximately cost. Thank you for your time.

Thanks.
Paul Kepner
Rowlett, Tx"

Any ideas of suggestions would be great.

Thanks,
Paul

The only way to replace drivers is to have their complete T/S specs, including SPL charts, and you'll never get those out of Bose, nor will they provide an outside source for parts. If they don't have them stocked for sale you're probably out of luck.

One more question and it has nothing to do with the speakers. How do I change my signature? I have forgotten how and can't figure it out smile.gif

Thanks!

Driver manufacturers post driver specs and SPL charts on the driver data sheets, such as this:

Hi Paul. You can go to speakerrepair.com or you could call them at 1-800-897-8373. A few years ago I bought those same tweeters for my 601's from these guys. Sometimes E-bay has these things as well.
