I have a projector with an Onkyo 505 receiver. My front speakers are JBL S310's and my center channel is N Series JBL. As of this time, I have no rear or surround speakers. I will likely never utilize both sets. That being said, which outputs do I use for 5.1 sound? Also - what are the general thoughts on either wall or ceiling speakers for this purpose? I ask because I really have no other location in this room to put anything else. Also, are there any specific wall or ceiling speakers that people find favorable? FWIW - I am very budget conscious. I appreciate your help. Thank You,

your receiver manual will show which terminals are for the "surround" (5.1) speakers or the rear (7.1) speakers. If you have the option, go with wall mounted units mounted "slightly above" seated ear level. If you have to use in-ceiling units, make sure they have pivoting tweeters to aim at the listening area and some will have 15 degree angled mid/woofer speaker also to help with aiming the sound at the listener and not the floor.
