I don't have the ability to do rear surrounds and want to mess around with something new.

Currently my speakers are listed in my sig. Nothing special but I want to add some front heights. However I cant get the bs21s or 22s for less than $100 atm. I would also have to mount them.
I am considering grabbing these for front heights http://www.parts-express.com/pe/pshowdetl.cfm?&Partnumber=300-670&scqty=1#Reviews .

I run my MV at -10db so they should be able to handle that. And the limited content going to them I feel like they would potentially be fine.

Anyone have any thoughts or better suggestions? Thanks

Check your local Best Buy to see if they have any BS-21's left. One by me has them for $35/pr.

Parts Express speakers would be a great deal and easier to mount if you don't care about a tonal match with your Pioneers.

Another store not far from me has the Pioneer towers for $75/pr. Great deal

I have mirage nanosats as surrounds with my pioneers, they are nice and small. I think I got 6 of them for about $250 so one pair shouldn't be too bad

I checked all the bestbuys, in my area, for those on clearance, sadly I think I am too late.

As much as I want the tonal match. I think for front heights it wouldn't be bad. However I will also be using audyssey which should help EQ it a little closer.

Checking the nanosats now. Edit: Can't seem to find them for a reasonable price anywhere. :\

Did you also check the open box deals at all the best buys? I find it hard to believe that 21s aren't still available cause they are around here still

Was looking at open box on their website. I also stopped in several stores about a month ago looking. I suppose I'll check again though.

You can use this link to see what BB has for open box and clearance items. That's how I found a Marantz SR 7005 for $750.
