So, I have an 18wx24dx8.5h room for HT. My 54" plasma is on one of the 18W walls. Sofa is about 12' away facing the TV.

I just ordered a Denon AVR-2312CI. I have Boston Acoustic CS 226 floor-standing fronts, a CS 225C center. I also have a 12" side firing infinity sub.

Now I'm looking for sides and rears. I'm limited to white speakers in order not to offend She Who Must Always Be Obeyed, and thus maintain an acceptable WAF index). I want to mount the sides on the walls near the ceiling, or on the ceiling.

By budget for these 4 speakers is $600, but if I can get good results for less, I would be happy.

We most watch 2.0 TV, occasionally 5.1 TV and the occasional 5.1 movie. I'm hoping the magic of the 2312CI will "expand" our sound for a more fun experience.

So far I'm down to BA Bravo 20's, assuming they will match best with my CS 226s, but the Bravo 20's are at the high end of my price range.

I've also look at Orbs, and at ~$120/ea look to be a good deal. I haven't heard them and I don't know how well they match up with my other equipment.

Polk makes the OWM5 and OWM3. I was thinking OWM5 for rears and OWM3 for sides (or the reverse depending on advice received here). Again, not sure if these will match up with what I have.

NHT makes the Absolute Wall Speaker and others int he line that might work, but are also at the higher end of my budget.

PSB Alpha LR1s may also come in white. I don't know much about this brand.
Canton may also have something in white. I also don't much about this brand.

Any other ideas?

Whoops I forgot about those! Yep, $30 is incredible. There are also the LS and XS versions.

Have you listened to the SoundWare speakers? any good for sides/rears?

Too many choices!

Thanks for the links to middy's. have you heard them?

I also found the Definitive Tech ProMonitor 800 ($145 MSRP). Thoughts on these?

For your system - since you have Boston, I would consider the SoundWare or Bravo.

However, I have owned the HTD regular Flat Panel, and it is a good one. The Middy
is voiced to have the same tonal character - however due to size, will have less bass.
I have also owned other HTD speakers, and they make some nice stuff.

I have owned some Definitive speakers and they also make some nice stuff. How
ever, I have not owned the ProCinema 800.
