Hey Guys,
I am in the process of putting together a home theater setup. I am a rookie, upgrading from a basic sony soundbar. I have purchased a Denon 1713 receiver and a Polk psw505 sub so far. I don't have much left to spend, $2-300 to pick up 2-3 speakers. I have my tv on a corner mantle. My room is 13x13' but it is a very open floor plan and opens to the kitchen and dining room. Most listening will simply be in the living room area. I was thinking of 2 speakers on either side of the mantle, and a low profile center speaker perhaps in the center. I have read a lot about the superzero 2.0's and they seem to be a good value. Is there a low profile center that would pair well with them, like a Polk tl2? How would the superzeros pair with my receiver and sub? I'm open to other ideas
Thanks for the help
Joe

The SuperZero will also work as a center channel - If you buy NHT,
then a third SuperZero will work.

I've read that, but it won't fit well in front of the tv, unless it is acceptable to lay them on their side...

NHT has stated that it can work that way - I would not mix Polk with NHT.

Just saw that the Energy classic pack of 5 speakers is on sale today only at newegg for $130. Seems like a good deal for the time being since I am putting together a whole new system at once. Thoughts on how these would pair with the Denon and psw505?
Thanks
Joe

I have no interest in the Energy.

The NHT or Acoustic Energy (sold at AC4L), would be my preference.

I wasn't so enamored with the NHT SuperZero 2.0 during my demo...but in the land of tiny speakers I do see why the draw people's attention. I preferred the Energy RC-Mini/V-Mini to the SZ2.0... but in all honesty, the V-Mini really doesn't do it for me either.

I did order a pair of those AE speakers from AC4L to try out... Hope they impress me more than the other tiny speakers I've tried.

A recent demo of mine was the Boston RS 230, and if the woofer was better, I'd say they're a winner... since the tweeter is really nice. IMO though, the 3.5" woofer they use just isn't quite up to par with that SB tweeter.
