Could you fine people help me make a wise decision on a couple of small desk top speaker systems that must do the following.

- small enough to be moved around (like a Bose wave).

- can double as flat panel speakers

- high quality

- produce full system sound.

I just bought a Bose Wave radio 111 with Bluetooth, and the Bose sound link 11 with time to cancel. The Wave radio is for me to use with iPhone, MAC book, and flat panel t.v. The other is a Christmas gift to sister. I bought the Bose from hearing an Wave radio long ago at a party. I remember it producing sound like there was a full system pumping out the 90's tunes. Is anything other brand out there that can accomplish this task better than an Wave radio? I know people bash Bose a lot but I have never heard a radio as small a Bose Wave sound way bigger than it is. Price is really not that important. I have also read some other threads but everyone mentioned a different manufacturer. Or the couple a few people agreed on didn't seem all that cleanly put together as say a MAC book.

By the way I am not new to audio. Just to small desk top system that kind of do the impossible.
Thanks in advanced.
A forum search told me all of these are a better system than Bose. Is this true?

Well, it is late in a lot of areas and besides, I'm a big speaker guy, sorry I can't help you here.

Spinning the rear tire at 150mph while at 3/4 lean angle will put wrinkles in your seat

Do you think the Bowers & Wilkins A7 would be better. On paper it looks good. But I have only heard an Wave in person.

Found this one two

I've never owned Bose, my bro-n-law had a Bose surround system in his house a few years ago, he was more impressed than I was. I love B&W speakers, haven't heard the high end stuff but the CM9's are pretty great. The system you're referring to is no doubt a quality item.

BTW, you're a motorcyle rider, I'm a motorcycle racer biggrin.gif

Yea, I starting riding when I was six. I raced a lot Hare scrambles on my KTM300. I haven't raced in over a year now though. I'm a B rider. I like anything with 2 wheels besides any kind of crus er. I have one of the new ZX1000's , tricked out XR650L, and my KTM. The 1000 is the full flaring one that has the more upright position. I got tired being uncomfortable on the full on race bikes. My last street before the ZX was a GSXR750. I am guessing by your avatar you race on payment?

My old Bose Wave came packaged with the Lifestyle. All I can say is that I've used it instead of the audio from my HDTV as it provided clearer and fuller sound (while the LS was in storage). Though, for the current listed price of the new system (just added CD and/or bluetooth) its a bit hard to justify the cost. So far however, I have not heard any smaller set (ie. iHome, etc.) that has made me smile smile.gif
