Hello,i know nothing about speaker repair but i have a pair of Sony Model SS MB215 that i have owned for quite some time, they have been in my attic because they stopped working id like to put them in my garage but have no idea whats wrong with them,On one of them only the tweeter works and the other one i can get no sound out of what so ever? I removed the woofer's to make sure just the wires didn't come lose but they are all good, any ideas on what i need to do to get these working would be very appreciated.

Thanks,
pbaker

Doesn't sound like they're worth fixing. Based on Craiglist and ebay prices they only go for $50 pair used. Taking them in would cost much more than that.

umm i realize they are cheap speakers thats why i said i wanted to put them in my garage,im just wondering if there is an easy fix,I noticed there is a capacitor on the mid range and tweeter if all it needs is a new one im prety sure i can deal with that without putting them in a shop,I had no intentions of putting them in the shop to begin with, thats why i came here asking for help.

I don't think we'd have any way of knowing w/o looking at the speakers in person. Unless there is something obvious like a blown fuse its hard to say what's wrong.
