Hi Guys anyone else experience any problems with their Jamo s660 sub woofer where the light does not turn on? Sometimes it fails to power up?

Not familiar with the model number but is there a switch on the back that is set to "auto"?

If so that means it only turns on when it gets a signal from the receiver. Try leaving it in the ON position instead.

You can increase the signal level sent from the AVR to the subwoofer. Sometimes, the increased signal level will help a gradually failing auto-on circuit. Eventually the auto-on will fail (likely due to a defective electrolytic capacitor). A few sub manufacturers (not necessarily Jamo) have had a failing auto-on with a few models. Unfortunately, the auto-ons in the subwoofers typically completely fail after the two year warranty period ends.

I would suggest that you get the Polk PSW505 subwoofer for $189 from Amazon.

It is a far better subwoofer; move on up.
