Considering the 5.1 setup below in my signature, is it a wise move or worth $19.65, to upgrade my Pioneer SP-C21 center speaker to a Pioneer SP-C22 center speaker?

5.1 small-room size: 800 ft³+ 54 ft³ corner door space
AVR: Denon 1712
Fronts: Pioneer SP-BS41-LR /Center: Pioneer SP-C21 / Rear: Pioneer SP-BS21-LR
Subwoofer: SVS PC12-NSD
Screen: Samsung UN46EH6070 46" 1080p 3D LED 240 CMR TV
Viewing distance: 7.33 ft

At least I meant to.

Just want to clarify for all unfortunately the 2011 models won't voicematch the 2012 models. So stick with the same year model right?

I've read the SP-C22 is a better sounding center but I don't think it is the tonal match for your other speakers. They made some improvements/changes to the new series.

But if its only going to cost you less than $20 why not get it and try for yourself paired with your own Pioneer speakers? $20 is pretty trivial and you'll have the answer you'll seek.

I don't have an experienced ear to determine if they voice match.

Version 2 of the Andrew Jones speakers are definitely a major improvement. I'd say go for it since it's only $20. If you decide the voice matching isn't to your liking you could also upgrade your fronts at a later date.

what if i don't like it, then what matching front and rear speakers would match and how much they cost?

since there is a relatively small difference in price between the C22s and C21s, i'm looking at possible yet reasonable extra upgrade costs there as well.

There's no need to replace your rear speakers. It's most important for your front three to timbre match. If you could fit the FS-52s (mini-tower) in your setup that would be a logical upgrade. There's no version 2 of the BS41s. I suppose you could try the BS22s up front if the mini-towers aren't an option space-wise.
