My CLR 2300 recently started making popping noises. I've tried unplugging the speaker cables as well as using different power outlets, but the only way to make it stop is to unplug the power for the built-in subwoofer. If I unscrew the back and look inside, are there any suggestions on what I should be looking for? I've probably had this for 8+ years, so there's no way it's still under warranty.

Sometimes wireless routers and cell phones can cause a popping noice. Does turning the volume nob make it any better or worst? Is it a steady noise? Does it make a noise if your not playing anything? How hard do you usually drive it? If you call Def Tech they may have some replacement parts for it.

It's a constant noise, it happens whether its playing or not, even if I unplug the speaker cables. Volume knob has no effect on the volume of the noise. Not driven hard at all, usually played at moderate volumes with subwoofer knob around 1/2 way.
