So I ordered the Sony D8, I'll have it by friday since they had no stock of it.... Did I choose well?

C'mon people, I know that low budget audio doesn't interest you much but I'm clearly a newbie needing help from you :-/

You won't get many responses for this type of system and since you bought one already I don't think any of the 'pros' will reply. If you like it then use it. If not, then return it. Just don't expect great sound from either but it'll be an improvement over the TV speakers.

Thanks for taking the time to answer.

These are two very distinctive systems, one is 2.1 with SRS sound, the other is a soundbar with separate sub-woofer that supports dolby digital and has many sound enhancement capabilities, and I was asking what's best for cinema and gaming, and the pros and cons of both systems.

Previously I had an old but very good floor-stand sony speakers with integrated amplifier and two integrated subwoofers, worth almost 1500£ when it was brought back in year 1999, but I don't have the proper space in this bedroom anymore because the tv and the furniture is much bigger now. The integrated speakers of this TV are awful, I'm using the 20£ logitech 2.1 ls21 until the new speaker system arrives and I can tell you even those 20£ speakers are a big improvement over the tv speakers.
