Ok guys so I just bought my first house and am taking the plunge to upgrade my HK HTIB. I work for a large retailer (insert jokes here) and get fairly large discounts on products we carry. So here are tge details:

Budget- $1300
Room- Living room. 19x12. 8' ceilings. Carpeted.
TV- 60" Samsung Plasma (model?)
HT 80% Music 20%

I think I have narrowed it down to this:
Receiver - Yamaha RX-V673
Center- DefTech Procenter 1000
Fronts- Deftech Studio Monitor 55's
Rears- Deftech ProMonitor 800's
Sub- Cadence CSX-12 MarkII

The sub has already been ordered and should receive it any day. What do you think of this package? Should I look into changing anything before I place my order? I have contemplated doing a Polk RTi a5 setup in front with a matching center and surrounds. I also dont know much about receivers.

Thanks in advance for your insight/help!!

The Definitive SM55 are some real nice speakers - if you have enough
room in your center space area, I would get another SM55 to use as a
center channel.

The new Studio Monitors, are a nice step up from the former series.

Thanks guys! I didn't know if I would benefit from Polk RTi a5 towers over the bookshelves.
How is that Yamaha for a receiver? Anything else in the $500 range you would reccomend? I can get my hands on Denon, Mrantz and Pioneer Elite.

This refurbish Marantz would be a nice one - and they have good
power handling in surround mode.

If you can squeeze a little more - this Pioneer Elite
