Hi everyone ok here goes. This is to weigh all options I could have going to bookshelf speakers.

here is the background...I posted a question about the difference between FS and BS speakers. I currently have in my 13x17x8 room which opens to a dining room and kitchen (open floor plan):

denon avr1612
Klipsch Ref RF-3ii
Klipshc ref RC-3ii
Klipsch ref RS-41
SVS pb12

I am looking to free-up floor space and wall mount some bookshelf speakers. I was looking at getting the Klipsch RB-61ii to match my center speaker, but was thinking since I am doing this are there better options out there? will I get better sound from starting over?
I like the sound of my Reference towers but on occasion I find them a bit harsh with some movie soundtracks...only some, and that is inherant with horns. any suggestions?

I am 90%movies and 10% music
I like to listen to movies from -10db to as close to reference as possible
My budget is up to 1000$ for LCR

any help and suggestions would be appreciated.

There are lots of choices out there. with a $1k budget you can get some decent speakers. If you are a little flexible there are lots of options. Also if you are willing to buy a B-stock or demo units for better bang for the buck.

PSB Image B6 and C5 saturdayaudio.com/audioadvisor.com
Monitor Audio RX1 and RX Center saturdayaudio.com/audioadvisor.com
Paradigm Monitor 3 and Center 3 Gonna have to find a local dealer
B&W 685 and HTM62 Bestbuy
Energy V5.1 and V5.2 center vanns.com
Def Tech SM55 and center... (not sure what the model is) bestbuy, maybe vanns.com

Ascend, Aperion, Axiom are some of the ID companies that you can look into

Dynaudio Focus 260s, Focus 210C, DM 2/6, Hsu VTF2 MK4, Oppo BDP-103,
Naim Nait XS-2, Jolida FX Tube DAC, Integra DTR-40.2, 55" Panasonic Plasma

The Definitive center is the CS-8040HD

Also horn tweeters, that are easier on the ears

I have concerns...you say that sometimes your speakers sound harsh. I have had my EMPtek speakers for a year now and one thing I can say, they have never sounded harsh- not sure I would buy a speaker that even occassionally sounded harsh.
People either like horn/compession tweeters or they think they are harsh...you might want to consider listening to a good dome tweeter and see what you think!

Set up #1: EMP e5ti, e5Ci, and SLS Q line Audio surrounds, EMP 10i10i sub
Set up #2: Def Tech SM450, CLR2002, SLS Qline surrounds and Klipsch 12wD sub
Set up #3: JBL130, JBL120C and Klipsch synergy sub

only rarely do they sound harsh...maybe its the source...for example super 8 was super harsh, and some big crash scenes. I dont think music or every other movie I watch sounds harsh...so it might be the source material.

The denon it is paired with definitely warms the tone a bunch. But I would like to hear the dome tweeters

Also you could try https://dmc-electronics.com/Default.htm. They sell b-stock PSB's and may have some Imagine B's.
