They are great speakers; I have had the 3A speakers for many years.

What gear are you using with them in your system?

The 3A is a great speaker too, they actually have better low end. For amps, I have two of the Vintage McIntosh MC2100 that are set to mono that each puts out about 210wpc now, for Preamp, I have the McIntosh C2300 tube preamp, and for source I just use my Oppo bdp95. I notice you're also from SoCal. where about?

I used to have the 2CE Sigs. I can't remember if they were the II's though. I used to power them with a Bryston amp. Good sounding speakers. There's a pic of them in the link of my sig. They needed a bigger room than I had at the time.

My real problem was I was in an aptartment at the time and couldn't push them without the neighbors complaining. Not very good wall insulation there. At low level I preferred other speakers.
When they were not home I loved them. I could have done a better job of explaining my enviroment.

Now that I'm in a house I sure wouldn't mind having them back.

No doubt but I recently purchased a new pair of Polk LSi15's. It will probably be quite awhle before I upgrade again. I used to buy a lot of used speakers locally
and always did well getting more bang for the buck than buying new. Seems like the well has run dry for quality used speakers. At least in my area.

Well, I live in Yucaipa now (east of Redlands), and still have a house out near Joshua Tree but getting ready to sell it.

My new place does not have room for the 3A, so I am going to take them to Optimal Enchantment someday and let Randy sell them. I have Gallo CL-3 speakers at the new house, and they are also excellent and smaller.

If you know anyone in SoCal who might want the 3A, I would let them go for $2200 or so, including the Sound Anchor stands and a set of nice custom-made bi-wire 10-gauge cables.

I use an Audio Research LS26 and a Bryston 3B-SST2 amplifier now, and a BDP-95 and MMF-7 turntable and Audio Research PH-5 phono preamp.

Your gear sounds very nice.
