Hmmm, you're up in Sacramento. Wow, that would be one hell of a road trip for me to haul my pens 400+ miles up there. But still , it would be fun to do some A/b testing.

They have a notice that they will be doing maintenance 10/2-10/3... they should update that (still: ahead of Seaton's site)

Ok all...I said I would eat crow if I got my grills. I got my grills in a little over 13 months but I am not willing to eat the whole bird.

I have my grills but my last call into Tekton was very, very stressful and extremely upsetting but for me is all in the past now.

FYI, I was told the Wilson style grills are to be available in a few days and are being outsourced. However, he told me he would stop his speaker production run that day and make my grills.

I did suggest that he simply remove the grill option on his site and not offer grills but I did not get the feeling he liked my idea. However, I don't see grill options on his new site?

My suggestion to any prospective buyer... just buy his speakers without grills if you want Tekton.

Thinking I now may move on and audiogon or eBay my Pens.

I wonder if that had anything to do with me refusing to order a 5.0 pendragon kit last weekend until Soundman5000 got his grills ;-) I asked Eric a few specific "audit" type questions I needed answers to before being comfortable ordering after all this past year of drama, but he pretty much dodged them all, ah well. My interest has passed anyway, hello JTR!

Glad you finally got your grills, Soundman. So, since you've dealt with Eric for so long, how would you rate his customer service on a scale of 1 to 10 with 1 being woefully inept and 10 being pathetically abysmal?

Ha ha...Chu Cai, you're a trip! I would love to have lunch with you one day just to chat!

Anyhow, at my ripe old age of 47 I have only experienced such stressful business transactions 2 other times in the past. One was with a computer repair shop and one was with an import ( Mercedes) car repair center.
Both took me calling the police to get my computer and my car back.

I now drive a Dodge and do all my own computer repairs.

All I can say based on my personal experience is simply don't order grills. Had I never done that I would have had no issues but boy a grill opened a can of nightmare for me.

I have been made whole and I am thankful for that. I can say in good faith that the speakers do sound fantastic and are built very well and I think most folks will love the sound but this was not a good experience for me.

Over time we will continue to see the reports from customers and in time I hope any negative will turn to all positive; Time will tell... Someone dropping a few grand on speakers need to do some homework and understand the risk involved and this website is wonderful for that!

After spending over $2,500 I feel I kinda have a vested interest in Tekton and hope he comes out on top and I do wish him all the best!

Well I hope you enjoy them and you can look at it in the sense you now have a collector's item. After all, how many people have grills?

I don't want to pick on your photography skills - but is the picture from front on just a washed out shot - or are the grills this ugly? Maybe there was a reason Eric wasn't sending grills . The view from the top looks great - the one from front on - does not.

Thanks for posting pictures - and thanks for the update on the grills.

Low light and a iPhone...Not a good mix. Just black grill cloth...The other pics reflect the actual color.

You got me....I have four outlets across that wall. Honestly, In 2 of them I have the PS audio Power Port Premier outlets with all the crazy thick AC cables and such and was trying to save a $ on the jacks that I did not use for audio as they are $95 each. Yes I thought no one would notice that I left a few white ones in. You got me...I will be ordering 2 more PS audio AC jacks tomorrow..LOL..biggrin.gif

Why not just go to Home Depot to get black outlets or Amazon for that matter?

For now I will just turn the lights back off as I only tuned them on to take a picture as I have no natural daylight in this room. I used a very dark color paint to make my Plasma pop so my room is very dark. However, now that it was pointed out to me I bet I will see those white outlets glowing in the dark!smile.gif FYI, I do like the grip of those Hospital Grade PS audio outlets. They grab on to a cable like nothing I have seen but I will most likely take your suggestion and change out those white ones to cheep black.

Glad you got your grills Soundman. I'm still waiting after 7 months. (Yes Eric charged me) Did Eric feed you any BS about how long the outsource company would take getting the grills out?

I'm glad that you are all getting your grills finally, but as much as I adore my Pendragons, those grills look like $hit! I'm so very glad that I didn't want them.

I mean, that staple job looks like it was done out of some seriously repressed hatred... biggrin.gif

Those are the grills that Eric did to get Soundman off his back.

Eric is supposed to have the grills made by some other company (outsourced). I thought after 7 months I would be one of the 1st to get shipping confirmation. Don't forget to post pics when you receive them.
Hopefully they will be an improvement over what Eric did.

Thought I'd send Eric an e-mail stating that I've been waiting since last March for my grills. I sent the mail on my receipt for the 2 mains + one for the center channel. Hope I receive an answer.

I rec'd a reply from someone named Daniel Melendez, Production Manager at Tekton. I asked for the grills and sent the original order (paid) stating that I have been waiting since last March. He replied "Great so that's the Left, Right, and Center?" I said that's correct. When can I expect shipment? Back to waiting again.
