I am going to include a clip of this one: http://sdrv.ms/16vY59v
I don't know how I want to cut it up right now, but I have a month to figure that out.

I also am going to include a snipit from the 1812 orchestra by Tchaikovsky......

Both clips I have great copies of at home I will use, the linked copy is quite poor... but ya'll may recognize it. if you know your movies.....

Here is another short clip: http://sdrv.ms/Yevd20

Anyone else going to send stuff?

So far we have no movie clips only music..... which doesn't bother me, but if any of you all want to see/hear something better get it up soon.

by movie clips do you mean video or audio. TBH i'm happy just using the movie demo material we used last time for movies. or tossing in any of the community demo disks, however those are generally more geared towards the low end

Yes, and the tron cycle grid scene is a must for me smile.gif That really puts speakers to the coals if you know what I mean. Fried a midrange and tweet one time with that scene...Man that was too many speakers ago though, they had NO place trying to run that scene at reference! haha

Ben - Thanks again for pulling the clips all together. How much content (time) do we have now on the audio side? I'm also down with pulling a couple scenes (video) from the demo disc. Do you still have the clips that Archaea sent over awhile back? Getting some visuals up there would be cool, even if it's just 2-3 scenes. Are we running in 2.X stereo or including a center channel as well when available?

Sorry I have been MIA guys for the past week - been traveling alot for work and just got back from Germany last night.

Hard to believe we're only a few weeks away!!

So I received and ripped the Nils Lofgren CD. Keith Don't Go was suggested by a few people for a good demo. What timestamp does everyone want? I like 4:15 to about 5:00.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=P5o8ticfqyM

I'll also get the gun fight and lightning storm from Open Range and the tron light cycle scene ready by this weekend. Anyone have any other movie clips they want to see.

Just as an aside, the day before the GTG I'm heading to the New York Audio Show 2013, where they will have a Krell home theater setup and a whole bunch of unaffordable, super-fancy 2-channel setups. No pressure, just sayin' I'll have the sound quality of top commercial systems on my mind when I show up at the GTG. You know I'm rooting for you guys!

Cool man! I know my Audio memory SUCKS, but hearing all of that high end gear the day before should give some perspective how the GTG offerings stack up. I envy you my friend. Take lots of pics so we can check them out in between auditions.

Perspective is all I'll have, unless by some great coincidence the same demo material gets played at that show and then at the GTG. The Krell home theater is the most interesting, I feel it's easier in some ways to judge a home theater running 5.1/7.1 material than a 2-way system... and of course the bass is a much more significant factor than it is with most music.

I got some local brews to bring as well. I will probably have a cold beer in hand all day, so I will plan accordingly, and so don't judge me.

Ok guys. A Conundrum if you will. How bad do you all want me to drive 10 hours to hear the LS6's? They fit in my car, barely, but I have no room for a bag, maybe a toothbrush. So I will need some fresh cloths from anyone wearing size 34 jeans and and large shirt if you want to hear them. Otherwise I am flying, so you get no dice....

Otherwise I can bring my own clothes and the td12x SEOS stuff if I do decide to drive instead of fly....

id like to hear them but if you cant bring them you cant bring them

however if you bring the TD12Xs we should just rename this to the DIY SEOS G2G because there are gonna be like 6 different sets of them there
