Now Yorkville speakers too?

Sounds like this meet is the new benchmark!

I do feel like if push came to shove my subs would not keep up with the mains.

Still, that's peak with the noesis right not continuous? The loudest I have played mine was +12 on the receiver which is 19.5 over reference according to the Disney wow calibration disk. I have no idea what the db level was but it still sounded clean... And then the breaker went.

My craziness is tame compared to Jeff though, so yeah hide the remote or everyone truly will die. biggrin.gif

Just heard back from Joe (aka ALMFamily), and he's unable to attend. That means Blackdevil77 is the next candidate. Blackdevil, are you out there? Let me know if you're still interested in attending.

Man, I'm so stoked to hear all of the offerings!

I'm really hoping to be blown away from the SEOS offerings... I'm extremely confident that my next mains are going to be DIY, but it's going to be awesome hearing so many incredible systems back to back to back to back...

I'm confident the SOES offerings will be able to satisfy you. I'm quite curious to get others opinions on them. and i imagine the differences between them will be small (not counting the 8s) as they are all pretty similar. I love mine and i REALLY want to see how they sound in a bigger and better space.

im also super stocked at getting a chance to hear the 12C's as well as everything else

All right everyone.

Here is the first version of the mix. It still is not final, slight changes might happen between now and the event.

Please for all those attending, listen a few times to get familiar with the content.

MP3 version: http://sdrv.ms/14WNBB7 (About 76.5 MB)
FLAC version: http://sdrv.ms/11Eiw1T (About 779 MB)

use the flac version, unless downloading that large of a file would take too long.

Note: The mix is 40:22 long. Which is 10 minutes over what we will play at the event.
The first 30 minutes is the mix we will use at the event. The last 10 minutes is things that were cut for time, but included so we can listen later if desired.

Here is the order of the tracks for the mix (slight changes from the last time I posted it):

Yim Hok-Man - Poem of Chinese Drum - Second Selection

Ash anyone been able to download any of the two files? I've tried downloading both the MP3 and FLAC files without any luck - do you just click on the link or right-click the link and save-as? I've tried it both ways on both links without any success.

My kid listens to that stuff and deadmau5 some cords is a pretty cool little track!

Yup, I know - but that's not the issue. You never want to create an account with any "free" service unless it's absolutely necessary. I've worked in the computer industry for many, many years, and one of the things those of us "in the know" (so to speak) are painfully aware of is those people whore out your information for $$, with the absolute worst offender being google unfortunately. It's a huge money maker for those companies, so they're very interested in doing it as much as possible. Count me out of that.

Adam supplied me with a download link that doesn't require any personal information, so it looks like I'm good to go (and unlike you folks, my account information won't be violated by anyone's lack of ethics biggrin.gif).

If you take yourself too seriously expect me to do the exact opposite

Just fired up the Yorkvilles and ran through most of the clips.

Uh, these things are friggin' sweet! Tried a few tracks with and without Audyssey. Audyssey does seem to clean up some room mode issues with some 'boominess' in some areas but completely neuters the midbass and brings the highs up a bit much. I noticed some guitar solos (like Metallica) sounded way too bright with Audyssey on. The low end/midbass is unreal with these guys. They're super clear and have the 'blow your hair back' power that the sickos like us crave. biggrin.gif I ran them up to +15 on several occasions with a huge grin on my face. Just absurd, clean output. Powering them with the Denon for now and considering bringing out the XLS5000 to feed them some proper juice. biggrin.gif I look forward to sharing them with you guys, a great addition to the lineup for sure.

Also spent a few hours cleaning up outside and inside for you guys next week. If we have anything close to today's weather, we're in for a real treat. biggrin.gif Still have a lot to do, but made some headway clearing out 10+ bags of leaves. tongue.gif

for the record that metal music around the 14 minute mark sucks. redface.gif
