Like I said, you CAN wall mount the Sierra1, but the Q-Plug for wall mounting (Q-Plug A) is in my opinion a compromise. It is a very good compromise, but a compromise nonetheless.

Here is Dave Fabrikant's run-down on the Q-Plug:

I would use them if I needed to and I considered using Q-Plug A with a pair of Sierra1 speakers where it would have been more convenient to put the speaker closer to the wall. Impressive considerations and thought were put into the design of those speakers in every respect and the Q-Plugs were similarly carefully thought out, but again, I do believe Q-Plug A is a compromise -- the speakers however are not. This is why I stated what I did.

Oh, and regarding the comment about the "uglier" cabinets of the Ascends: Personal taste aside, for most it becomes a non-issue if one wants to pay extra for the gloss finish (do you want to put your money on gloss?). They are presented nicely.

I know a little about it, but not enough to say one or the other. Cone area, efficiency, compression (at a certain point), power, etc etc all play part in "dynamics". I will say that these e55ti's mated with the e56ci are extremely dynamic front 3 to me. I would love to put an amp to the front 3..maybe some day. The nice thing about EMP is that they offer a free 30-day IN-HOME trial. If you don't like them...send em back at no cost to you! It's that easy. For a speaker of this price, that (to me at least) is very nice looking and also is +/- 2db with solid off-axis response, I don't understand why it's not recommend/purchased more. With a sister company like RBH they must be doing something right. I researched for a few months and it seemed like every review, both professional and non-professional was positive. People that have heard or own speaker 3x+ the price say they can hold their own easily and that is something to be proud of. They've been taken to multiple Audioholics events where Salk and other companies demo and people have stated they were shocked at the EMP booth and how well the e55ti's performed. Seriously...they're pretty good and VERY good for the Black Friday price.
Anyways, either of your choices will most likely make you happy. Not being biased here and this is totally up to you....but why not try the EMP setup and if you're not feeling it after 30 days then send it back and pick up the HTD stuff. It's definitely a pain to wonder if another speaker would best what you have, but at the end of the day if you're happy and you fell within your budget (if you're budget minded), that's all that matters. Like I said though, either one will likely make you very happy. I wish there was someone close with the HTD's so I could hear them

I can't agree with ousooner2 more, I've listen to many great systems from Paradigm, Kef, Ascends, Aperion Salk and so on the list is huge and I own a pair of Song Towers and a full EMP tek setup and I kid you not the system is amazing, the 30 day home trial will make a believer in how good the sound stage is, for the Price you just can't beat them unless you are going to go upwards of Paradigm studio 100's or song towers with a RAAL tweeter.or Ascends Sierra towers. You give them enough power and they will light up a room with no issues, the only down side to EMP tek is the fact they come in two finishes of which you may or may not like, but I have to go with ousooner2 on this one and say don't discredit them and they are a great price.

EMP tek 5.1 theater setup, Marantz SR6006, Oppo BDP-95
Salk Songtowers, Emotiva XPA-2, ERC-1.

This is a horrible hobby!!  My wallet hates me, takes up to much space, neighbors want me to move, but man my house sounds amazing!
