Got one of the 5 HTM's today, they look sharp and are heavy! The other 4 are due tomorrow, hopefully will get a chance to hook them up by this weekend. Pumped :-)

That's great! If it were me I'd already be listening to the first set with 2-channel stuff. wink.gif

I like to keep new speakers at moderate listening volumes the first few hours. But any benefit of break-in affects the SQ more (if any effect at all). Normal usage is fine almost right away. Just don't test their limits (lol).

I will +1 HTD. I had the Level 2 bookshelf speakers along with their Level 2 center and it was very impressive for the price. I was/still am very happy with them even though I have just replaced them. They were very smooth speakers, and never had me feeling fatigued from watching movies or listening to music. I found myself enjoy music much more with them than I had previously.

Thanks shady. I ended up going with the ascend acoustics htm200se all the way around 5.0 with a svs pb1000. I really needed something that was more discreet than the average sized rear ported bookshelf speakers. I'll report back with my feelings on the speakers after a while, thanks y'all!

Enjoy man! I have heard nothing but good things on this forum in regards to those speakers. I really was looking at them myself but there was a bit of WAF (not a dedicated home theater room) and she dident like how they looked. Granted she would let me get them anyways, but I like getting laid.. a lot.. so I keep her happy wink.gif

Got the front 3 hooked up this past Saturday. Omg! They're awesome and to say that they are a significant upgrade over the take classics would be a huge understatement.

The takes actually sound decent for surround duty. Hope to get the htm200se mounted in surround position this wknd.

Thanks everyone for your kind advice and suggestions. I am grateful for that. biggrin.gif

Congrats! biggrin.gif

Once you get the rear surrounds in, Audyssey run, and the PB-1000 dialed in with them, I bet it will sound phenomenal!

Thanks! I did get to Audyssey them yesterday. I don't have a dedicated HT.....just a living room with "HT-like" sound now and it induces big smiles :-)

Know how that is. Mine just's a living room HT setup, too. smile.gif

Be joining you later this week as an Ascend owner. I just ordered the CBM-170 SE last week to use with my computer desktop audio setup. Looking forward to it.

Nice congrats! I'm really impressed with the htm200se. I would have actually liked to go cbm but corner wall mounting and waf played a role, the former a larger one. Post when you get the cbms!
