I know size does not = quality. I have read about the thirst these have for power also. My application is almost 100 percent HT and was going to get the Onkyo 818...
My room size is 16 wide and 22 long but fairly open (no vaulted ceiling though).
I have been looking at the Klipsh 82 / 62 combo...but after a couple listens they seem for lack of words...to always have the treble too high..and the mids seem muffeled even to my deaf ears. I am thinking this could be adjusted.
I just auditioned the PSB speakers but to be honest although more "musical" clearer and less agressive their sound stage for HT was weak and non-emerssive. The center channel was pathentic after thought as well.
Tekton Design Pendragon caught my interest but are a real budget buster at 2500 for two. Also I would have to wait for the center to come out...
As always...thanks in advance for your help!
