Hey guys...

I'm trying to decide between these two brands of speakers. They are for a room that will be a dedicated theater that is 19' x 14'.

They will be matched with an SVS PB13-Ultra. Anybody out there have any experience with either of these speakers?

Thanks!

Those are speakers that will give you less sound quality and power-handling (their power spec is a blatant LIE) than many conventionally designed speakers costing about $300-500 per pair.

The shallow enclosure is a SEVERE design compromise designed to appeal to those who prefer form over function. A high price does not repeal the laws of physics. No serious speaker design uses that kind of form factor (except for electrostatic speakers, of course, and that is another whole design concept).

In other words, you are paying a LOT of money for the way they look, and getting low-quality sound and a very high price as part of the deal.

If you want to pay a ridiculously high price for 3rd-rate sound, they are the perfect speakers.

If you really want some thin speakers that produce excellent sound quality, the Magneplanar MG 1.7 electrostatic speaker is where you should be looking. Check out the Magnepan website. Read the reviews.
