Only problem with those Center Stage brackets is that it is going to put the speakers way too close together. That is going to make for very poor imaging. Too bad there aren't cubbies on the left side. The designer of that A/V space gets an F.
What I would do is get a couple of speaker stands and put one right under the light switch and the other under the painting. Something like the Sanus NF30B, which is a 30" stand. I'm going to assume the light switch is at the standard height of 48", so that means the bottom of the plate is at 44". A 30" stand would give you 14" of clearance for a bookshelf speaker. The next stand height down is 26", but 30" would put the speaker at about the right height from the floor if you choose the average bookshelf speaker with 5.25" or 6.5" driver. Polk Monitor 35B, KEF C3, or DefTech SM350,45,450,55 should all fit nicely on the 30" Sanus stand.
