I've replaced my old Panasonic receiver with a new Denon AVR-2113CI receiver. However, my old speakers has very narrow wiring, and it seems that I cannot connect it to the new receiver outputs (it slides out very easily). I do have another Denon receiver at my house, and JBL speakers that I've wired with 12AWG Enhanced Loud Oxygen-Free Copper Speaker Wire Cable, and it works great (I still have 50ft of this cable).
The 12WG cable is noticeably thicker than my old speakers cable. The main problem is that I cannot take out the cable from the old speakers and replace it with the 12WG cable (the cable is built in the speaker). Thus, I'm wondering if my old speakers are considered trash or there is a way to save the situation? (I would buy new speakers anyway, I just need to do some ceiling work before that, and it takes time that I currently does not have).
Thank for the help!
