So in 2006 I bought my HT system and with it I bought an Infinity Modulus II 5.1 kit. I love this set. Not only have I put it through serious "work-outs" with our parties and movie nights while they still sound great, but I still think they look awesome in 2013.

Recently I burned up my Onkyo receiver and I upgraded to a TX-NR717 which has a better self adjusting processor, 2EQ. The system reflects an "ERROR" on the center speaker and now that it did I have been able to notice the high frequencies are not all there on the center speaker. Years ago I left the grill off and my then 3 year old pushed the center twitter in and since then the bent bubble has cracked and fallen off so I can see the metal of the twitter.

Is this center speaker fixable?

Like new.

For Modulus owners, crossover was $19 and the tweeter was $18 (bought 3 just in case).

hey had the same problem. the tweeter was an audax design made in china. i replaced mine with audax TMO2OJ5. The sound is just as good however you will need to remove the mounting face of the audax unit and secure the tweeter in place with hot glue. any problems give me a shout at tholler@tulsaconnect.com with your phone number and ill give you a call, i do have some of those tweeters laying around.

Hey All, sorry to resurrect an old thread, but this is the only place I've found anything regarding repairing these speakers. I have a Modulus 2 set and the round mounting ball has broken off the bottom of one of the satellites. Can someone please tell me how to disassemble the satellites? I've taken the four visible screws out, and I can manage to pry the top part of the speaker away, but I am getting a lot of resistance from the bottom part of the speaker. Is there another screw somewhere, or do I just need to brute force the front off?

Any help is greatly appreciated.

Thank You
