I purchased an onkyo tx nr808 receiver, and I just purchases a Denon 2 channel 220 watts per channel amp. Should I ruN the amp to each tower. Or should I bi amp the highs with the onkyo and use the amp to power the lows on the rti12s.
Not sure which is best for the best sound for music and movies.
If I bi amp with the receiver will it still have enough power to run the center and the surrounds. Or will the amp be plenty of power to drive the tower rti12s alone. Your advice would be much appreciated.
Thank you

Let the amp either handle all the rti12's or don't us it at all. Don't break it up

You will have plenty of power to run all your speakers with just the 808 alone.

Yes hooking the towers up to a Denon 2-channel amp should increase the bass. Hook the RTi12's to the amp alone.

You don't have a sub? If you are depending on those towers to provide good deep sub bass for movies, might not happen.

If more mid bass is what you are looking for, still might not happen. Could be the room acoustics and the placement of the speakers relative to the listening position is inhibiting good response at certain frequencies.

So if the amp doesn't do it, don't be disappointed.
