inexpensive speaker wire insulation changing color over time.is this normale?

will this disscoloration effect the preformance of the audio signal.

Here is my Monoprice AWG12 two years old laying next to new Monoprice.

The change in color may be due to a different product.

The thing to be concerned about is that it retains its flexibility, and does not crack when flexed.

If the insulation gets brittle and has minute cracks in it, replace it.
