I do home theater. Who wants all that directed sound each and every time. For music, I can understand but not home theater.

A good monopole can present an indistinct sound stage if that is what the sound engineers recorded, but can also do a defined one. A bipole can only do an indistinct sound stage. It's a far less useful design, yet it is more expensive.

Hmm, good prices, but they don't seem to have Klipsch RB-61 speakers. Do you think they will carry them, even if they aren't listed..?

This ^ ^ ^ good stuff, ... big ol' +1

I've experimented extensively, I've also used and currently own several Klipsch models, including three different Ref Series, RB15, RB35, RB75. Although they're no longer in my large primary system, they're fine and offer good value. I used the RB15 for years in a surround role in an ITU 5.1 system. Amazingly, those small surrounds held their own in a very high powered system, often push to the extreme. I powered them off a pro style amplifier (EP4000), with 650watts apiece!

I've since moved to an entirely active system.

I'd recommend the direct radiating/monopole approach in most rooms.

Yes...they do. Call them. Those prices posted are NOTHING compared to what they can do!
