I'm finally ready to purchase speakers and get my home theater set up. My use of it will consist mainly of 40% BluRay movies, 40% television, and 10% gaming/music. I'm attaching some pictures to give you an idea of the living room and measurements of the space. As you will see, they pre-wired the home for surround sound, but there is no way to have all my equipment up around the television. So I'm going to run an HDMI extender from behind the television over to the wall by A/V stand. I currently have a Denon AVR-3806, but I will most likely need to upgrade due to it only having two HDMI inputs. Also, I would prefer not to have in ceiling speakers. I don't mind having speakers hanging as its just me and no wife to please!
I will likely travel to Dallas in the next few weeks to listen to different speaker systems. I really have no preference when it comes to brands. I'm just looking for advice for my space/budget.
Thanks for your help!

Your fireplace reminds of mine in the family room. I put 73" Mitsubishi DLP in front of it (covering up the fireplace). The TV could sit on top of a simple rectangular TV stand, which in turn could fit a center speaker. Towers would go on both sides of the TV. Surrounds would go on back wall or ceiling. Remove those racks.
You could just move your TV down from way up there. I have a TV up there also that I'm too lazy to remove.
There are a few of us Sooners on AVS & Audioholics.
I go to Dallas probably 4 or 5 times a year. Good quick getaway.
That's not a bad idea. I never use my fireplace anyhow. Nice looking setup! Do you have any recommendations for home theatre shops either here in OK or Dallas to compare speakers?
There is a Revel, B&W, KEF, PSB, Paradigm, RBH, Monitor Audio in Edmond, but they may not even have the model you may want to audition. Of course, they have no problem ordering you any models you want to buy.
I've auditioned many places in Dallas as well, but I don't recall specific dealer names. Dallas will have more selections than OKC.
You could request a demo model from the dealers in Edmond and the dealers might be able to borrow the speakers from the sales rep.
I would get a system that not only sound great, but also measures great on Stereophile, Soundstage/NRC, or Home Theater Magazine.
Speakers like Revel (F12/C12/M12) & KEF (Q900/cQ600/Q300) are 2 examples. They sound great and measure great as well. Members have been able to obtain these systems for around $2200-$2300 for 5 speakers.
