Hey guys I'm hoping someone here has listened to both of these sets and can offer some advice.

Basically I have an opportunity to get a big discount on Harman Kardon speakers and wanted to keep my budget around 300-400. Now I know that Cnet had said the HKTS 20 sounded a tad worse than the take classics and was more expensive so why buy them. So my question is....

1. Not considering price which system would sound better the HKTS 30 or Take Classic?

2. Anyone know if there's a big diff in HKTS 30 vs the HKTS 60?

The HKTS30 has dual 3.5" drivers while the HKTS60 has dual 3" drivers so I'd get the 30 between the two. The subwoofer looks the same.

Are you required to have satellite size speakers? If not there are better choices such as the Andrew Jones Pioneer speakers.

How big is your room?

Thanks for the reply.

I am sticking to smaller speakers because my room isn't very large. The pioneer speakers would be way to big.

Now I know on paper the hkts 30 should be better because of the dual drivers but I keep hearing how the take classic has amazing "sound quality". I don't need these speakers to get extremely loud I listen to movies at moderate levels and care for the quality of sound.

I just haven't really been able to find reviews on the hkts 30.

A Harman Kardon HKTS 30 review: http://www.hometheater.com/content/harman-kardon-hkts-30-speaker-system

I'd also look into the Martin Logan MLT-2 in your budget range.

Oh, and the MLT-2s are rebadged Paradigm Cinema 90s. Here are two reviews:

The sub might be different (not sure), but the speakers are the same.
