I would give Audiolab a call and see if they have any special deals on Revel.

http://www.audiolab.com/SearchResults.asp?Search=Revel&Search.x=0&Search.y=0

I would look at the Revel F12.

The KEF Q900 would be my second choice.

Monitor Audio RX-8's are a good option, also for a few dollars more the Paradigm Studio 60's are a wonderful sounding tower.
My 2 cents...

There's probably no one here that has heard all of them, in the same room, in direct succession. And even if they had, their preference may not be the same as yours. You need to listen to them and decide which one you like best. You aren't being ignored... realize that the question you are asking does not have a 'correct' answer.
Personally, I've never heard any of them. But even if I had, and I had a preference, you may disagree. So invest the time listening to them, and make your decision based on which one you prefer. That is the only 'correct' answer.
I'm not trying to ruffle feathers, just being blunt.

It's for 'wall hung dude', and no, I don't need any help to 'hook-up'.... sheesh ... dirty minds around these parts....

The Monitor Audio Gold GX and Platinum series towers don't fit in your budget. Kef and Revel speakers are also very good.

The BP8060s are the only ones that are going to have sufficient bass without a separate sub or a LOT of power. Even then, the 8060s are the only ones that will have good response to 25-30hz.

Klipsch RF-62II, RC-500, RS-400, SVS PC12+,
Def Tech SC8000
Harman Kardon AVR 1600
PS3, Apple TV, Sharp 70" Qattron

You can add 2000 watts to most towers and still won't get enough bass, so it's not about enough power.

I agree that speakers with built-in subs or bookshelf + subs combo will do a better job with the bass than most towers w/o subs.

+1 If you really want good bass then spend $1000 for some nice towers and $800 on a good sub. Thats the only way you are going to get good sound and good bass for $1800. The days of buying huge towers and feeding them 1000 watts a piece is a thing of the past. You can get great bass more effectively and efficiently with a subwoofer.

No, Mr. Bond. I expect you to die!

Given your requirements I would go with the E55Ti Tower Speakers and two Klipsch Reference RW-12d 12" . That would take your budget to 800 + 600 = 1400.

You may even get a third sub and place it near field.

Given what I think you are trying to get out of your sound...it is either that or you can find some Klipsch Referance 62 and go with that and the subs.

You want big bold powerful sound more than minute details...so I think these are good recommendations in your price range.

Another way to go...could be the SVS Ultra tower. It is 2k but I don't think you would be disappointed in the least. Some great recent reviews on these in the forums.

If you have woodworking skills at all, or know anyone who can help with that sort of thing, I would go with a couple of these kits. You have to build the cabinet but all the other parts come with. That speaker would come in well under budget and be a lot more powerful than any of the other speakers you are contemplating. Plus it would free up a lot more room in your budget for a good subwoofer, which will make for far greater bass performance than anything you could get from those towers.
