Hey all,

I have have a dedicated theater. I just purchased a new 9.2 receiver so I am thinking of moving from my current 5.1 setup to at last 7.1 and maybe even 9.1.

My front speakers are Rocket 550s with the rocket 250? Center. I currently have Rocket Rears in the 5.1 config. Sub is SVS tube.

I do have a couple other AV123 speakers, a few x-ls and x-cs. The issue is I want to add side speakers and there is no good place to mount them. The right side of the room is the walkway to get to the seats and front of theater. I have a soffit running all around the room, so if I mount them to that people will most likely bang into them.

So I am thinking of adding 4 ceiling surrounds and mounting them into the soffits. Is that a good idea? I was also considering that for the extra 2 height speakers. I do want good sound, it is a dedicated space, but I also dont want to break the bank. Any suggestions on some options for this? Also is this just a real bad idea? Not sure of the quality of $100-200 in ceiling speakers. I see crutchfield has some polks and niles, not very familiar with either brand.

Thanks for any advise.
