Good afternoon

I am looking to setup a home theater system, I already have the receiver: denon avr 3313.
The system will be: loudspeaker rf 52 II, rc 52 II center channel, rb 41 II for the back.
I am still wondering for the sub: SW 450 or SW 110?
I am looking at klipsch because I have great price on it, It can be as well polk on TSi 400 series but I feel klipsch is better.
I am planning to go to direct buy tomorrow to listen to them.
Let me know what do you think.

See my sig.

I really like my Klipsch system. I also own an SW450 that I don't have hooked up right now. I think it's a pretty good sub. I don't really know anything about the 110 though. The 110 is newer and may have a better amp. I don't know how much you will be paying for the sub but there is better out there for about what those subs retail for.

I don't know the size of your space or budget but that should be a pretty good starter system.

I recommend the RW-12D. It has 350 watts of RMS power (not peak or music power or some other BS).

The subs you are talking about are too small and too underpowered for your system.

Amazon has a good deal on the RW-12D right now; $342, which is a very good price.

Sounds like a great set up. The subs are a toss up.

I don't know the size of your room or how much you are willing to spend but a good 12" sub like the Klipsch RW 12D is the least I would go with if I could afford it. If you can spare about $500, your options open up even more.

Maybe I can bump up my budget and get the SW-112 sub woofer, on the klipsch site they setup the home theater with the SW-110.

You need to get what you will be happy with. If you listen to the 110 with the system and you like it then go for it. A 10" sub was good enough for me starting out too but somewhere along the line, I went out of my mind....biggrin.gif

I believe SW-450 is a matching sub for the Quintets. Get the RW-12d at least if you are on a budget. Newegg periodically puts it on sale for $300 shipped. If your budget for the sub is over $500, your option really opens up.

A good sub is very important to any good setup. As you tsst better subs you will understand why. Most entry level subs are very boomy and sound like they offer a lot of kick but once you test a good quality sub you will understand what tight punchy bass is. I would test different speakers and different subs then come back here and post your experience.
