I am needing some fronts for a very large room.

- Room 25x25x20
- Prefer to not get towers (not very visually appealing)
- $200 range
- Mostly for music
- Sub will be added later

What kind of power do you have? Meaning are you using an integrated Stereo Amp or a Home theater receiver?

It will be a 7.1 receiver, about 90W.

I would say the BIC acoustec HT-64. Buy it at Overstock for $220 or shoot BIC an offer of 200 and see if they accept.

I say this because yours is a big room and those speakers are very efficient, meaning they will get very loud even with a lower power receiver. If it says 90watts "on the box" it is probably closer to 30 or 40 unless it is one of a few select brands that advertise their true outputs... but I digress.

Those speakers will really rock!

Hrmm....so with that said maybe ill push my budget a bit more. I started looking into some of the speakers on this list:

What about these choices? Anything better? How will the kits compare to hsu?

You should start a thread in this forum if you want advice on kits: http://www.avsforum.com/f/155/diy-speakers-and-subs

Check this thread for some info on the Fusion 8: http://www.avsforum.com/t/1468211/ne-spring-speaker-shootout-results-thread-april-13-2013#post_23202132
"7) Fusion 8 – Alchemy – DIY", other members also posted reviews.

You will need a sub, or 2 smile.gif
