Hi All,

I have just purchased a Krix sound system for my home theater and it will be installed in a couple weeks and would like your opinions on whether it was a worthwhile purchase?
When I heard the speakers at the demo I was quite impressed.

Krix Neuphonix fronts
Krix Epicentrix Centre
Krix Stratospherix Rears ceiling (2 Rear, 2 Middle)
Anthem MCA30 Power Amp 225 watts

On top of that I also have a Pioneer LX 85 9:2 Receiver and a Zensonic Sub Woofer and a JVC 3D Projector.

Cheers

I used Krix in my build, same neuphonix and epicentrix but I had the dynamix for my rear pairs and the volcanix sub. Running off marantz power.
I love them and can't fault them at all.
I think you will be very happy with your purchase.
If it gives you confidence, Krix make speakers for thousands of commercial theaters worldwide including all of the best cinemas in AUS - so that kind of speaker know-how can only translate into fantastic home speakers.
Where in AUS are you?

I am in Adelaide and they are not from where I live too. I know Krix makes some very good quality speakers and it sounded amazing when the retailer demoed it. And on a projector screen it should sound really good.
Basically I got the Anthem 3 channel as I was told best use that power for the fronts and centre and let the Receiver power the surrounds. I think it is good advice.

Nice to meet a fellow Adelaidean!
My old receiver would have struggled to drive the Krix so I used a marantz pre/power amp setup. The anthem you run will have more than enough power to toast your neuphonix (they are rated for 200wrms which the anthem gives @ 8ohm, the ~5ohm load that the Krix draws will net you more power again.
I run mine behind an acoustic transparent screen - unsure what your plans are but this rolls off some of the brightness ever so slightly and I prefer it this way.
