Just wondering if I can get thoughts between the two. Both can be had for the same price at $199 per speaker atm.

One is one of the best bang for your buck audio deals.

Unless the new monitor series significantly improved which I have not heard, then I would pass on the Polk.

If you choose to pass on the infinity. I would still go with something else besides the Polk. Go listen yourself if you can.

If you live near a Fry's Electronics store you can get the Infinity for $108 each.

Sometimes Frys will even sell the primus on their website for that price. That is how I got mine.

Wow, I sure do live near one and it is 108! Now I called and asked about them and they said they're all open box so. Theyve had customers who've bought em and used them then returned them? but um I'll go and have a look at em and see.

I did a head to head comparison of the Polk
M40s and the infinity primus p163, so both in the same family...I thought both speakers had good qualities. I ended up with the Polks, simply because at the time, they were cheaper! For 108 per speaker, I would buy the p363s in a second!

Set up #1: EMP e5ti, e5Ci, and SLS Q line Audio surrounds, EMP 10i10i sub
Set up #2: Def Tech SM450, CLR2002, SLS Qline surrounds and Klipsch 12wD sub
Set up #3: JBL130, JBL120C and Klipsch synergy sub

You will notice that this site is not biased wait, but yeah the members on this site don't seem to be crazy on Polk, i have no idea why a simple frequency test would prove a lot, but then again sound is like food to some they hate it to others they love it. I would not rate Polk a acquired taste i would however rate klipsch that.

A "required" taste?

Do you mean "acquired" taste?

Lol, a "required taste" sounds like a good idea at times.
